Anne Thomas grew up in Great Britain as half-French and half-American. Before obtaining her Master's degree in European Cultural Policy and Management at the University of Warwick, she studied European Studies with a focus on German and Russian at the University of Bath. In 2006, she completed her PhD in Comparative Literature and moved to Germany. Currently, she is responsible for the placement of STOLPERSTEINE outside of Germany and for the inscriptions of the stones in languages other than German. She also works in Berlin as a freelance journalist and translator from German, French, and Russian into English.
